solar control glass is a real all-rounder. Its numerous processing options open up a wide range of possibilities for

architectural and technical planning.

The newest member of the COOL-LITE ST family, COOL-LITE ST Bright Silver, impresses with its extremely high

transparency and neutral reflection. With this combination, the product provides both extreme comfort and excellent

privacy levels. Unlike the other ST coatings, this coating is applied as standard to extra-white DIAMANT float glass;

normal PLANICLEAR float glass is also available on request.

AESTHETICS: high external reflectivity (*32%) with silver color, meeting the latest architectural

trends for a strong design statement. The high light transmission brings good volume daylight

which being proven to be beneficial to occupants of the building.SOLAR PROTECTION: achieving good level of solar protection with a solar factor of *0,52 (on

DIAMANT), cooling loads are reduced under hot climates

DAYLIGHT: *61% (on PLANICLEAR) light transmission for good level of natural light income and

visual comfort indoors.

FLEXIBILITY: ST BRIGHT SILVER is adapted to many kinds of processing: Tempering and

Laminating for good level of security. Bending replies well the current curved glass trend. Finally,

screen printing and enameling provides more creativity to the façade.

USE AS MONO GLAZING (COATING ON FACE#2): ST BRIGHT SILVER can be used as mono

glazing on face#2, which can be a good economic leverage during the façade project specification

COOL-LITE® ST BRIGHT SILVER is sputtered on PLANICLEAR or on DIAMANT using a magnetically enhanced cathodic sputtering process under vacuum conditions.

Processing COOL-LITE® ST BRIGHT SILVER is almost the same as for all other SGG COOL-LITE

ST coatings. Key features and existing differences are highlighted hereafter:

• single stock product
• can be monolithically glazed (#2, facing the inside)
• can be tempered or heat strengthened
• can be curved (annealed or tempered)
• can be laminated
• can be laminated with coating against the interlayer (PVB & Sentryglas)
• no edge deletion needed
• can be silk screened or enameled (but restrictions to be respected, see below)
• must be placed on surface #2, cannot be used on surface #1 (Class B coating according
• EN1097)
• 2 years warranty from product reception
