SKN 176, 176 II, 076, 076 II

The SGG COOL-LITE SKN 176 range are solar control products that feature a high performance coating. The coating can be applied to SGG PLANICLEAR or SGG DIAMANT float glass by cathodic sputtering under vacuum conditions.

The SGG COOL-LITE SKN 176 II / 076 II glass products are part of the ever-evolving range of ‘to be toughened’ neutral solar control coatings from Saint-Gobain Glass. In order to achieve its superior thermal properties, solar control properties and neutral appearance, SGG COOL-LITE SKN 176 II/076 II must always be toughened or heat-strengthened before assembly into a double-glazed unit (coating on face 2).

COOL-LITE SKN 176/176 II can be used to create more comfortable interiors by reducing overheating and the need for costly air conditioning, whilst at the same time noticeably reducing excessive heat loss.

The high light transmittance also reduces the requirement for interior lighting during daylight hours, helping reduce energy costs even further.

The SGG COOL-LITE SKN 176 range is a solar control coating for use in residential or commercial buildings, either for façades or overhead glazing:

• All-glass facades
• Overhead glazing
• Shop windows and glazing
• Residential or non-residential applications that require an uppermost natural light transmission, an optimal solar control value and an advanced thermal insulation.

Due to the unique properties of the coating, it is ideally suited to applications requiring a high light transmittance, low G value and excellent neutrality.

The 4 mm version it is ideal for residential & commercial applications.

SGG COOL-LITE SKN 176 is designed on SGG PLANICLEAR substrate, for annealed use. 

SGG COOL-LITE SKN 176 II is designed on SGG PLANICLEAR substrate, for use in either toughened or heat-strengthened form. 

SGG COOL-LITE SKN 076 is designed on SGG DIAMANT substrate, for annealed use. 

SGG COOL-LITE SKN 076 II is designed on SGG DIAMANT substrate, for use in either toughened or heat-strengthened form. 

For all of the above versions the coating is positioned on face 2 of the sealed unit.

SGG COOL-LITE SKN 176 is part of the SKN coatings:

The SGG COOL-LITE SKN 176 range balances the advantages of a high performance neutral solar control product with:

• Low g-value, which reduces solar gain by as much as 37%.
• Excellent U-value of 1.0W/m2K.
• High degree of neutrality.
