The SGG COOL-LITE SKN 154 range are solar control products that feature a high performance coating. The coating can be applied to SGG PLANICLEAR or SGG DIAMANT float glass by cathodic sputtering under vacuum conditions.

The COOL-LITE SKN 154 / 054 glass are part of the ever-evolving range of "to be toughened" neutral solar control coatings from Saint-Gobain Glass. In order to achieve its superior thermal properties, solar control properties and neutral appearance, SGG COOL-LITE SKN 154 / 054 must always be toughened or heat strengthened before assembly into a double-glazed unit (coating on face 2).

The “to be tempered” version SGG COOL-LITE SKN 154 II / 054 II can be heat treated and can therefore be tempered or toughened in order to fulfill safety requirements / norms, to increase mechanical resistance and to reduce thermal breakage risk.

NOTE: Color differences may occur between annealed and heat-strengthened / tempered versions of a coating, and that it must be accepted by customers before any order.

The SGG COOL-LITE SKN 154 range are solar control products which are primarily used in commercial buildings, either for façades, windows or overhead glazing. They are designed for use side-by-side:  COOL-LITE SKN 154/054 in annealed form and COOL-LITE SKN 154 II / 054 II in toughened/heat-strengthened form.

Due to the unique properties of the coating, it is ideally suited to applications requiring a high light transmittance, low G value and excellent neutrality.

SGG COOL-LITE SKN 154 is designed on SGG PLANICLEAR substrate, for annealed use. 

SGG COOL-LITE SKN 154 II is designed on SGG PLANICLEAR substrate, for use in either toughened or heat-strengthened form. 

SGG COOL-LITE SKN 054 is designed on SGG DIAMANT substrate, for annealed use. 

SGG COOL-LITE SKN 054 II is designed on SGG DIAMANT substrate, for use in either toughened or heat-strengthened form. 

For all of the above versions the coating is positioned on face 2 of the sealed unit.

SGG COOL-LITE SKN 154 is part of the SKN coatings:

The SGG COOL-LITE SKN 154 range is designed to offer exceptional solar and thermal performance:

·       Very low g-value of 0.28

·       Optimum centre-pane Ug-value of 1.0w/m2k

·       Neutral appearance both in transmission and exterior reflection

·       Good levels of natural light transmission

The SGG COOL-LITE SKN 154 range can be used to improve the energy efficiency of buildings by considerably reducing overheating and the need for costly air conditioning. It is particularly suited to large areas of glazing where superior solar control performance is required whilst at the same time noticeably reducing excessive heat loss.
